It’s not everyday that I read a book that actually motivates me to make real change in my life. However, when you can take inspiration from off the page into reality then you know you’ve found a good read. “In the Company of Women” by Grace Bonney is an inspiration and advice book composed of short interviews of over 100 female makers, artists and entrepreneurs, all of whom are super motivational and encouraging.

Reading each short interview in “In the Company of Women” by Grace Bonney felt like I was personally speaking to women who think exactly like me! Creative minded entrepreneurs won’t feel like the odd-ball-out while reading this book. With each turn of a page, I felt part of the community of feminine creative minds and I loved it!
Inspirational women such as Issa Rae lace the pages of “In the Company of Women” by Grace Bonney. I love Issa Rae’s family mantra: Give to your world the best, and the best will come back to you. Reaping what you sow has always been a concept that has driven me to do or sow my best, knowing that I will reap the full benefits in return.
I also enjoyed seeing the creative works from some of the women as well as their office or working spaces. Their spaces inspired me to always make sure my creative space reflects my vision.
“In the Company of Women” by Grace Bonney has inspired me to not only learn more about business administration but also to not be so critical of my creativity. I think every woman should read this book but especially women who are creative entrepreneurs and who may be craving a little 'relatedness'...oh, that's the word I was searching for...
