Celebrating 3 Years of Blogging with My Home Office Reveal

Instagram post on 20 April 2021

I have rewritten this sentence now, probably about 10 times. Who is to say that I won't just erase this one and start over? I have a new way to express myself...but will you like it? It's been so long since you've heard my voice, did you even miss it? How has it been almost an entire year since the last time I posted on my blog? How in the world did I go so long without even noticing?

I went through a divorce in 2020 and I feel that I have been recovering on different levels ever since. 2020 was the year of emotional recovery and since my fight or flight senses were still triggered, it was also the year that I accomplished a lot on the blog. But, with time, I felt safer, and my body needed rest. I needed a moment to myself...and when I say a moment, I guess I mean an entire year. I needed to reboot and rethink, redefine and repress. Repress my expression so that I could know exactly how I wanted to express myself moving forward.

Did you know that in this re-doing I almost got rid of Tea End Blog completely? I know, crazy right! I'm so glad that I did not do away with the only outlet that has allowed me to express my love for tea and books no matter what life has brought me and I am so happy that I stuck it out up until now, because today, I am celebrating 7 years of blogging on my beloved tea and book blog. Tea End Blog, here we go again!

Mantra 2021 - "Be Grateful"

Was I grateful in 2021? I think so! I've always believed that gratitude is a key to happiness and overall good mental health. I have also always tried to inculcate it into my self-care routine in some sort of way. The Grace & Gratitude Journal gave me the ability to express 3 reasons why I was grateful every day of the year in 2021!

2021 Goal #1 - Writing My Book(s)

In 2021, I wanted to focus on 2 of my books: Enchant Your Life and Tea & Poetry, Darling. Maybe I should write about writer's block because it seems to be the only thing I fully understand to write. But at this point I probably would experience writer's block writing about writer's block! I haven't lost hope though, I am planning a trip to New York as it is the only place that I have ever felt so inspired towards creativity that words just flow out of me. Yeah, that's how desperate I am, I am traveling across the country from Texas to New York to finish Enchant Your Life. If this doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you! I'll figure it out...

2021 Goal #2 - Grace & Gratitude

Last year, I made a goal to pay more attention to Tea End Blog's first journal, The Grace & Gratitude Journal, and to promote it more. I am happy to say that I have vended the journal in Houston, TX as well as Dallas, TX and I have booked more vending opportunities in Dallas. It's been really fun sharing the journal in real life, and not just on the internet. It's also nice to see how many tea sipping bookworms are also journalers!

"MY FUTURE LOVE"

Continue Writing My Book(s)

This I have been writing something ever since I was a little girl. Finishing my book seems to be a never-ending saga and, at this point, I have accepted the journey. In 2022, I intend to finish Enchant Your Life and start the creative process of organizing Tea & Poetry, Darling. Wish me well!

Become an author

Speaking of childhood dreams, I've wanted to be an author ever since I was in elementary school. I'm scared to death as I am realizing so many false narratives that I have written in my mind about my ability to write and my potential authorship. I'm trying to get out of my own way. We'll see how it goes. Wish me well...please!
