I would like to share an interesting tea that is described by name as a white tea but it is actually a green tea...I know, a little confusing, but I promise it's worth your attention! Yu Quian Anji Bai Cha or Anji White Tea is a beautiful green tea from the MASTERS Tea collection by Adagio Teas and it the sipping experience is admirable.

Anji White Tea by MASTERS by Adagio Teas is a green tea that steeps similarly in hue to a white or yellow tea. The liquor is pale yellow even when Anji White Tea is steeped for a longer period of time. The hue reminds me of late spring and early summer therefore it is no surprise that this tea was harvested in April 2019.
The scent of Anji White Tea will remind you that it is, in fact, a green tea. While white tea usually gives off a subdued chamomile or oatmeal scent with nutty aromas, green tea has a piercing contrast of freshly cut summer grass. Although the scent takes on warm and comforting aromas (think herb-oatmeal) similar to white tea, you can still, however, sense the excitement of spring and summer with each whiff.
