MARTHA STEWART LIVING
THE PURPOSE | Martha Stewart Living magazine features lifestyle content around food, home decorating, entertaining, crafts/DIY, travel, and taste-makers, with monthly columns including "From Martha", "Good Things", "Good Living", and "Everyday Food".
WHY TEA END BLOG? | Would you deny that Martha Stewart knows what she’s doing when it comes to meals and DIYs? I didn’t think so… I subscribed to Martha Stewart because I love a good hands-on project as well as home decorating and entertaining ideas. I think Martha Stewart Living magazine will be very practical, informational and entertaining.
AFAR
THE PURPOSE | Afar is a publication focused on experiential travel.
WHY TEA END BLOG? | I don’t know one tea sipping bookworm that doesn’t like adventurous travel. I certainly do, however, at times I run out of travel ideas even though I know the possibilities are endless. I hope that Afar Magazine will keep the ideas coming for cool places to find great tea and good reads.
BETTER HOMES & GARDENS
THE PURPOSE | Better Homes and Gardens is the fourth best-selling magazine in the United States. The magazine focuses on interests regarding homes, cooking, gardening, crafts, healthy living, decoration, and entertaining. Better Homes and Gardens is one of the “Seven Sisters”, a group of women’s service magazines.
WHY TEA END BLOG? | I subscribed to Better Homes & Gardens in 2017 and absolutely loved the experience. Home décor is a passion of mine as sipping and reading wouldn’t be the same without the ambiance that good interior design brings. What is more, Better Homes & Gardens doesn’t just focus on home décor but also crafts and healthy living which makes it a very practical magazine.
ESSENCE
THE PURPOSE | Essence is a monthly magazine for African American women between the ages of 18 and 49. It is the only magazine that focuses on reaching an audience of black women, revolves around the black woman experience, and has remained for a long period of time. The magazine covers fashion, lifestyle and beauty, with an intimate girlfriend-to-girlfriend tone, and its slogan "Fierce, Fun, and Fabulous" suggests the magazine's goal of empowering African-American women.
WHY TEA END BLOG? | I am an African American woman and, interestingly enough, I have been “craving” likeness. In my endeavor to be cultured and accepting of all, at a very young age I reached out to cultures and people that were drastically different from myself. I ended up marrying my best friend who comes from the other side of the world (Cameroon, Africa)! I love all my friends and family who are beautifully different from me but at times I do yearn to be around individuals who grew up like me, think like me and understand me because they are me. I think ESSENCE Magazine will help me quench this desire...hopefully...
