Tea Review

Issaku | Japanese Green Tea In

Did you know that quality green tea leaves are processed within two hours after harvest? Steaming the leaves quickly after harvest prevents fermentation and allows the leaves to retain their chlorophyll content, hence the green color of the tea. Issaku Japanese Green Tea by Japanese Green Tea In is stunningly green and is even more impressive in taste.

THE HUE

THE HUE: Issaku | Japanese Green Tea Inc.

I love green teas because their bright green hues put me in the mood of spring and summer. Wouldn’t Issaku by Japanese Green Tea In look delicious chilled in a large glass pitcher?

THE SCENT

THE SCENT: Yu Chi Red Jade | Origins Tea

Issaku lets off an herb-y but solid scent which, simultaneously, gives you hopes and grounds you. The fresh scent of pure and premium green tea makes me wonder why I don’t steep non-blended green tea more often.

THE SIP

THE SIP: Yu Chi Red Jade | Origins Tea

Without 2 teaspoons of honey, Issaku Japanese Green Tea by Japanese Green Tea In has strong herb and chlorophyll tastes ending with nut-like notes and lingering well after the sip.

With 2 teaspoons of honey, Issaku Japanese Green Tea by Japanese Green Tea In becomes a playful concoction of deep grassy notes ending in aromatic nut-like notes. Sweetened, Issaku inspires me to blend it with lavender or jasmine into a chilled beverage.

I could just sit back and relax, catch up on some of my Long Live Paper reads and slowly enjoy Issaku. It truly is a relaxing and good quality tea.
